“In every pizzeria (basic, traditional, modern, fancy, etc.), there was always an offering of chili flakes, chili oil, chili paste, or something similar,” said Elwyn Gladstone, founder of Firelli. “The thought was, Italians make jarred pasta sauce, pizza sauce, etc., so why not create a new kind of sauce?”
And Firelli was born with a goal to create a completely new hot sauce with great, authentic Italian ingredients, design, flavor, and flair.
The world’s favorite Italian Dish – Pizza – just a few dashes of Firelli will give a spicy kick and liven up your pizza.
1 12-inch round of pizza dough, stretched
3 tablespoons tomato sauce
Extra-virgin olive oil
2 ¾ ounces fresh mozzarella
Place a pizza stone on the middle rack of your oven and turn heat to its highest setting. Heat for at least an hour. Put the sauce in the center of the stretched dough and use back of a spoon to spread it evenly. Drizzle a little olive oil over the pie. Break the cheese into large pieces and place on sauce. Bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling, approximately 4 to 8 minutes.
Drizzle Firelli on top to your spice level!
